No nasties - No middlemen: Aunty Jenny Launches Farm-Fresh Indian Spice Brand in Australia

09-10-2025  Gday India

Aunty Jenny, a Melbourne-based spice brand, has officially launched, bringing farm-fresh Indian spices directly to Australian consumers. With the promise of “No nasties. No middlemen.” the brand delivers ethically sourced spices straight from Indian farms to Australian kitchens.

Founded by entrepreneurs Evangeline Tee and Ramneek Wayne, Aunty Jenny was born from Tee’s search for pure, genuine spices her mother could enjoy without allergic reactions. Wayne’s vision of building transparent, farmer-first supply chains underpins the company’s mission to reshape how Australia sources its spices.

Private Brand Launch in Melbourne
On 25 September 2025, Aunty Jenny hosted a private brand launch at Elchi, Melbourne CBD, attended by trade officials, diplomatic representatives, and community leaders. Among the guests was City of Melbourne Councillor Rafael, who praised the contribution of migrants in enriching Melbourne’s cultural and social fabric—an ethos that mirrors Aunty Jenny’s inclusive values and cross-cultural roots.
The event was a heartfelt celebration of the journey from concept to reality and a thank-you to those who supported the brand’s vision.

What Makes Aunty Jenny Different?

Aunty Jenny’s model is built on three pillars: Quality, Transparency and Integrity.
• Farm-Fresh Quality – Spices are sourced directly from Indian partner farms and packed within weeks of harvest, preserving flavour and aroma. Many supermarket spices, by contrast, sit for years before reaching shelves.
• No Middlemen, Fair Prices – By shortening the supply chain, farmers receive above-market rates, while consumers enjoy premium spices without heavy markups.
• Ethical & Sustainable – The brand forges long-term partnerships with farming communities under fair-trade principles, supports regenerative farming, and ensures every spice is traceable to its farm of origin. Current packaging is resealable stand-up pouches, with a commitment to more sustainable solutions as the company grows.

Voices from the Founders
“We believe Australians should not be penalised for wanting to eat better and make healthier choices,” said Evangeline Tee, co-founder of Aunty Jenny. “That is why we are committed to producing spices that are as fresh and genuine as possible, while keeping them affordable and transparent.”

“Our launch is not just about spices—it is about rewriting a supply chain,” added Ramneek Wayne, co-founder. “Aunty Jenny proves that when we honour tradition while building new systems, everyone benefits—from farmers in India to families across Australia.”

Public Launch and Expansion
Aunty Jenny is now available for pre-order. The brand will make its public debut at Melbourne Diwali on 11 October 2025 at Marvel Stadium Square, where festival-goers will be the first to sample and purchase its spice blends in person.
In the months ahead, Aunty Jenny plans to expand into select independent grocers and specialty food stores nationwide, complementing its online presence.

Signature Range and Pricing
Aunty Jenny’s inaugural range includes six spice blends: Butter Chicken Blend, Tandoori Blend, Mild Curry Blend, Garam Masala, Turmeric Powder and Red Chilli Powder.
Each blend comes in a resealable pouch designed for freshness and everyday convenience. With only 5–7 grams per serve required, the blends offer powerful flavour with minimal use.
